PPS/OPTRS

The Payroll/Personnel System (PPS) allows users on-line access to current and historical employee records. Users can have entry/update or inquiry-only access. The On-Line Time Reporting System (OPTRS) is the on-line time reporting component of PPS.

Web-based PAN

The web-based PPS sub-systems PPS Web Inquiry and PPS Pan notices are in support of the PPS System. PPS Web Inquiry allows the PPS user to inquiry employee information via the web in a more readable form. Web PAN allows the PPS user to review post-authorization notification (PAN) ensuring actions processed via PPS entry/update are correct.

PPS Decision Support System

The web-based reporting system which gives departments, dean's offices and central offices access to their employees appointments, payroll expenses and staffing information. Pre-defined reports give on-line access to the payroll data with the ability to customize the reports with different selection criteria, report layout flexibility and sorting options as well as the ability to create spreadsheets. The PPS DS system uses data from the PPS Data Warehouse.

PPS Data Warehouse

The PPS Data Warehouse contains current and historical payroll, personnel, expense and staffing data for University of California Davis employees. Access to this system requires a usercode, a query tool (such as Microsoft Access) and knowledge of the data structure. No changes can be made to this data.
