UC Davis Internet Tools

The UC Davis Internet Tools CD is a comprehensive tool available at no charge to students, staff, and faculty. The CD provides a number of useful products that can be used to protect and secure your system and connect to the campus network. It also offers some additional software products that are used widely throughout the campus. Instructions to configure your connection to the Internet through UC Davis are included on the CD, and additionally, the CD is supported by IT Express, the central campus computing help desk.

Software Available Online

The Software Licensing Website includes a catalog listing of the software products that are available to staff and faculty (and to students, in some cases) by paid or free download. Additionally, the website provides information on those software products, such as product descriptions, license terms, and technical support contacts.

Software License Coordination

The Software Licensing Coordination group negotiates, purchases, and manages software distribution of select software packages for the benefit of UC Davis or the UC system.

UCD Bookstore Computer Shop

The UC Davis Bookstore offers productivity, creativity, and other software packages to students, staff, and faculty. Many of the software packages offered by the Bookstore have special academic pricing that may be substantially lower than commercial vendors.
