Safari 3 was released in October 2007 and is the latest Mac Web browser. All new machines that deliver with Leopard installed will also have Safari 3 installed. Mac OS X 10.4 machines that are fully patched with the latest security updates will also have Safari 3 installed. Safari 3 is not covered by any licensing agreements and is free with Leopard OS X 10.4 and 10.5.

Compatibility
IET has coordinated a campus-wide compatibility testing effort for Leopard and Safari 3. The compatibility information has been collected as part of a collaborative effort on the part of many individuals and groups from various campus departments.
