Internet Explorer version 8 was released on March 20, 2009 and is the latest Microsoft Web browser.  It is not covered by any licensing agreements, and it is free for anyone to download from the Microsoft Web site at http://www.microsoft.com/windows/Internet-explorer/default.aspx.

Compatibility
Information and Educational Technology (IET) coordinated a campus-wide compatibility testing effort for Vista, Office 2007 and 2008, and Internet Explorer 8. The compatibility information has been collected as part of a collaborative effort on the part of many individuals and groups from various campus departments.
