Step 1: Open the DNS console. Browse to your domain, right-click, and select Other New Records…

Step 2: In the Resource Record Type window, choose Service Location (SRV), and click Create Record… This will allow you to create a new resource record.

Step 3: In the New Resource Record window, enter the following information:
Domain: The domain under which you are creating the record
Service: _vlmcs
Protocol: _tcp
Port Number: 1688
Host offering this service: kms.ucdavis.edu

Step 4: Click the OK button. This will create the DNS record to connect to the KMS server.
