Windows Vista and Security (ppt)
The campus community may obtain Microsoft Vista through either the Microsoft Select program or the Microsoft Consolidated Campus Agreement (MCCA). Refer to the Campus Licensing section for detailed information on each agreement.
Select Program
Under the Select program, you may purchase the Vista Business Edition. If Software Assurance (which includes upgrade protection) is bundled with the license, you may upgrade to Vista Enterprise or Vista Ultimate.
Microsoft Consolidated Campus Agreement (MCCA)
Under the MCCA, you may choose either the Vista Enterprise Edition or Vista Ultimate. You may also elect to down-grade to Vista Business. Please note that each copy of Vista Ultimate requires a unique key for activation. Departmental technical support staff may download software and request Vista Ultimate keys from http://download.ucdavis.edu or you may contact the SHI account team to request a key.
