Animation & Simulations
IET Academic Technology Services animation and modeling services include 2D and 3D animation using applications like Flash, After Effects and Maya, and 3D modeling with polygons and NURBS using Maya. Animation capabilities include traditional keyframe animation, as well as procedural animation and dynamics.
Animation and modeling services compliment the programming and video services and are often included as part of a larger project. The animation and modeling group is capable of scripting interactions with applications like Flash and Dreamweaver to produce web-delivered interactive programs.
Animation and modeling output is available in all popular formats, including broadcast-quality, high-resolution digital video. Products include interactive learning materials, illustrations, and video.
The animation and modeling group is integrated into both the programming and media services groups. Projects are often a collaboration of work with programmers and other media specialists.
The animation and modeling group is primarily concerned with providing media for visualization of concepts, procedures and material interactions. This includes models and animations available for viewing in virtual reality players.
Course Content Development
Academic Technology Services employs a team of programmers who take your course content and program it for delivery online, on CD and/or DVD. This work can take many forms depending on the individual faculty and class situation.
Multimedia Development
Academic Technology Services can make animations, simulations, or other interactive exercises to assist in teaching a concept that is otherwise difficult to convey in the classroom, or something that students have difficulty understanding.
Content Sequencing
Online material can be presented in a predefined and controlled order and in a manner dependent on previous student responses. Academic Technology Services programmers will work with faculty to design custom content in this manner.
