Classroom Recording

Faculty members who wish to record their lectures for later review by students on the Web or in the media labs, may want to use our classroom recording service. Using portable recording carts, we provide a high-quality student-based classroom recording service. These carts are designed to be wheeled into a classroom and set up during the 10-minute break between classes, so a classroom lecture can easily be recorded. Instructors may wish to use these videotaped lectures for the future development of online materials. The program can be recorded on either VHS or DV (digital) tape, depending on its intended use.

Studio Recording

ATS has a 850 square foot television studio for recording lectures, demonstrations and interviews. The studio includes a connection to the AT&T video hub or live faculty interviews with national media such as CNN, Fox News and PBS.

Multi-Camera Remote Recordings

Using our remote production truck, we can provide a live two-to-four camera switched recording of large university events and seminars. We can record these multi-camera productions on Beta-SP or Digital tape and/or we can synchronously stream it for viewing on the Web.

Recording Seminars and Special Events

The recording and documenting of campus seminars/colloquia and special events can be put onto VHS or digital videotape for later distribution on tape or CD/DVD. We can also provide a live synchronous stream of the event via the Internet, or a video on-demand from the faculty members' web site. These programs can be distributed on UCTV, via Echostar Satellite's DISH Network, Channel 9412, or on the UCTV web site.

Broadcast Recording

If a client wants broadcast quality or requires videotape editing, we recommend using this service. We provide a professional digital or Betacam SP single camera EFP (Electronic Field Production) recording service. This comprehensive production includes specialized pre-production, audio, and lighting services.

Videotape Editing

We provide professional videotape editing services in our digital editing suites. We can work with most tape formats including DV-CAM, Beta SP, VHS, S-VHS, HI-8, and 3/4" U-matic. Distribution of these edited files can be on videotape, CD/DVD, PowerPoint, or streamed over the Web.

Compression & Streaming Media

For clients who require digital versions of their video assets, we have video and audio compression services that allow our clients to use their new files in PowerPoint, on a CD/DVD, or via the web. We compress to all the standard video file types such as Quicktime, Real, AVI, and M-PEG 1 and 2. Our Educational Technology group can also host streaming video files on our Real and Quicktime servers.

CD/DVD Production

DVDs can increase the effectiveness of classroom presentations by random access to high-quality video, audio, and other digital files, in either DVD-ROM or DVD Video format. Faculty members may wish to use this service in order to organize all of their presentation and lecture materials including: audio, video, graphic, photographic, PowerPoint, animations, and web assets for classroom use.

Videotape Duplication

For clients who want to distribute or copy their non-copyrighted videotape materials, they can use our videotape duplication services (up to 10 copies). Most of our tape formats include: 1", DV-CAM, Beta SP, VHS, S-VHS, HI-8 and 3/4" U-matic. We are also able to provide single-copy, foreign-standard transfers (e.g.; PAL, SECAM) to or from VHS videotape. In addition, we contract with local vendors to provide large tape duplication orders.
