Building on the success of the Fall Convocation podcast, an IET team has developed an MP3 pilot project for class lectures, hoping that the popularity of MP3 players will make the lectures available to more students.

The sign on Roger Boulton's door reads, "Where there is chaos, there is opportunity." It's small and not really part of the Hilgard Project, but it explains it succinctly. Dreamed up in August 2001, the project is tackling some of the existing chaos within winemaking and turning it into worldwide research possibilities--with the help of Professor Boulton, whose life passion resides within a small acre of north campus, some of it underground.

(NewsFactor.com) Microsoft will stop supporting the Mac version of Internet Explorer at the end of 2005. The move follows a decision in June 2003 to end code development for the browser.

DECEMBER 15, 2005 (IDG NEWS SERVICE) - Just in time for the holidays, a worm called Dasher has hit the Internet. The malicious software, which primarily targets Windows 2000 systems, is one of three new attacks that have emerged in the past 24 hours targeting Microsoft Corp.'s software. Two other recently posted attacks can crash or gum up Microsoft's Internet Explorer browser.
