Banner Upgrade Slated

The Banner Student Information System will be upgraded to version 5.4 on the weekend of September 7, 2002. The system will be off line from 6:00 PM Friday, September 6 until 6:00 AM. September 9.

Banner Users should not see any changes in the forms navigation, nor will you need to update your desktop settings.

IBM Awards $15-Million in Teacher-Training Grants to 29 Institutions

As part of a grants program aimed at improving teacher training, IBM has awarded about $15-million to 29 colleges and universities in 10 states, the company announced on Thursday. The institutions and their affiliated school districts or state education departments were selected from more than 100 applicants.

Service Changes for Requesting Thawte SSL Certificates

The campus purchases web SSL certificates from Thawte. As of Monday, August 5, Thawte changed their web interface and request process. Under the new process, if you need a web certificate, please email the CSR, your seven-digit DaFIS account number and identification of your web server software to security@ucdavis.edu. This procedure is a change from previously issued information.
