UC Davis Educators Named Keynote Speakers for 2024 UC Tech Annual Conference
The 2024 UC Tech Annual Conference, happening October 27-29 at UC Davis and UC Davis Health has unveiled its keynote speakers for the now sold out event! Both are incredible thought leaders and educators from the University of California, Davis.
2024 UC Tech Keynotes
Dr. Raissa D’Souza, the Associate Dean of Research for the College of Engineering and a Professor of Computer Sciences and Mechanical Aerospace Engineering, will be speaking on Monday, October 28 with her keynote titled, “Harnessing UC to Navigate Our Complex, Interconnected World in the Age of AI.” She will explore how AI is influencing systems in our modern society and how AI can be integrated for the betterment of humanity. On day three of the program, or Tuesday, October 29, will be Dr. Martin Hilbert, the Computational Social Science Chair and a Professor of Communication. His keynote, “AI Unleashed: Navigating Boundless Intelligence & Existential Risks — Choosing Our Future” will explore the opportunities and challenges for humans to be part of the generative AI revolution. UC Tech Annual Conference is a technology conference hosted by the University of California system for UC employees to celebrate and promote innovation and collaboration within the community. Each year, a different UC campus is selected to host the technology-centered conference over a few days. Each day features a broad spectrum of talks and interactive sessions designed to enlighten, enrich, and encourage.
This year, UC Davis and UC Davis Health are teaming up to host the UC Tech Annual Conference. This year’s theme is Collaboration for Transformation. It is a reminder that we must work together to rise to the challenge of a rapidly evolving technological landscape, not just in higher ed and in health, but throughout the world.
