Wi-Fi Issues Reported, Emergency Network Maintenance Scheduled – Weds., 1/8

IET is actively monitoring Wi-Fi connectivity on campus. Following the emergency network maintenance, some issues have been resolved.
As of today, some members of the campus community report dropped connections when using eduroam.
We continue to make changes to ensure seamless wireless connectivity across campus and address Wi-Fi issues as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience. Please contact IT Express to report and troubleshoot any Wi-Fi issues.

The emergency network maintenance is complete. IET teams are monitoring the campus networks and will address Wi-Fi issues as they arise. Please contact IT Express to report and troubleshoot any Wi-Fi issues.

Information and Educational Technology (IET) is currently investigating reports of Wi-Fi issues in different areas of campus. Members of the campus community report slow or dropped connections when using eduroam and other campus wireless networks. We are working with our vendor partners to address these issues with urgency.
Emergency Network Maintenance: January 8, 2025, 12:00 – 5:00 pm.
Key Changes
• Planned maintenance scheduled for January 8, 2025, from noon to 5 p.m.
• eduroam and UC Davis guest may be intermittently unavailable during the maintenance window.

• Members of the campus community may experience Wi-Fi issues outside of the maintenance window.

The maintenance is part of our larger efforts to optimize Wi-Fi connectivity on campus. More changes may be needed to address capacity and signal quality.
