Annual wireless update – You may receive a prompt
An important update will happen soon to eduroam, the UC Davis wireless network. Depending on your device, you may need to accept it to continue accessing the campus internet.
On Thursday, February 6, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., campus will install a new electronic security certificate for eduroam. This means you may receive a prompt on your phone or other device, asking you to accept the update.
The certificate tells your devices it is connected to the network, and you should accept it if you want to stay connected. Experiences will vary depending on devices, model, and operating systems. Some devices will accept the certificate automatically.
View this knowledge base article about the certificate update for more information.
Certificates expire periodically. Information and Educational Technology (IET) schedules certificate updates yearly. The guest wireless network at UC Davis is not impacted by this update.
If you have any doubts or questions about the certificate update, please contact your department tech support or IT Express at 530-754-HELP (4357).
