The Operations teams are responsible for IET's business and finance, communications, customer service, human resources, project management, and facilities functions.

Business and Finance

The Business and Finance team runs the day-to-day financial business of IET as well as plans and manages financial resources. This includes everything from providing fiscal accountability to paying the phone bill.

Business team responsibilities:

  • Billing (project billing, MOU billing, pass-through, pantheon, recharges, sundry debtor)
  • Purchasing and procurement (includes OPP process)
  • Project support
  • Travel requests
  • Account management

Finance team responsibilities:

  • Annual budget development
  • Monthly and year end fiscal close (includes ledger reviews)
  • Financial reporting
  • Rate management

Client Success

Client Success focuses on IET's customers with the aim to understand campus needs, deliver the services required, and communicate the value of campus technology. Client Success includes responsibility for:

  • Network Service Center
  • Computer Lab Management
  • Desktop Services
  • IT Express
  • Service Management Office
  • Software License Coordination

Communications

The communications team tells the IET story, showcasing IET's accomplishments and contributions to UC Davis's mission and goals. Our portfolio includes: 

  • Strategic communications: annual reporting and planning, positioning IET as a strategic partner on campus and within the UC system.
  • Project communications: change management, service transitions, and new initiatives.
  • Internal communications: community building and engagement.

Storehouse Facilities and Safety

This team supports facility and safety needs for IET staff in addition to asset management for network and audiovisual technology infrastructure work. Facilities and Safety is responsible for:

Human Resources

Project Management Office

Keeping IT projects on schedule and on budget is vital. The Project Management Office works with customers to understand their business needs, then strategize, plan, analyze, and bring the project to fruition.
