Banner outage affects campus services

A hardware failure caused Banner, the student information system for UC Davis, to become unavailable as of approximately 7:30 this morning, Oct. 7. Services that depend on Banner for data, including myucdavis, SISWeb, and SISDocs, are not currently available.

The vendor, Oracle, has replaced the part that appears to have caused the failure. The campus has begun a process to restart and test the service. We expect the system to be up sometime this evening, but please check for updates.
