Campus to test Leopard for compatibility

Much as it did when Microsoft released Vista last year, Information and Educational Technology is coordinating a campuswide compatibility test for Apple's latest operating system, Leopard.

Apple released Leopard Oct. 26.

"Our goal is to complete this project within the next month, providing useful information to the campus by the end of November," said Sarah Robertson of IET Client Services in an email to two campus listservs.

Client Services is developing a campus Macintosh Web site with a compatibility matrix, licensing information, links, and more. The IET Leopard Workgroup has already developed a test plan for use as a general guideline for testing the compatibility of various applications used widely on campus.
