The campus Data Center upgraded its electrical and network systems during a planned outage Sunday, Dec. 21. The interruption affected services as diverse as MyUCDavis and the campus email system, but all were working again by 1:15 p.m. the same day.
Servers in the Data Center host applications and store data for various campus operations. During the eight-hour outage, online connections between the center's machines and the rest of the campus were suspended--meaning that all services provided by or hosted in the Data Center (except www.ucdavis.edu) were unavailable.
