Designing Applications with the User in Mind: Upcoming Keynote by Joel Spolsky, Software Developer

On January 29th, Joel Spolsky, software development veteran and author of "User Interface Design for Programmers," will be addressing members of the UC Davis community as part of a two-day visit sponsored by Information and Educational Technology (IET). Spolsky is known as an entertaining communicator, a popularizer of the classic notions of software engineering. Over the years, he has worked for Microsoft and has founded Fog Creek, a company that has developed CityDesk, a content management system, and FogBUGZ, a Web-based system for managing software projects. The keynote is open to the general public, and is free of charge. Seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. See URL below for more information.
