On January 29th, Joel Spolsky, software development veteran and author of "User Interface Design for Programmers," will be addressing members of the UC Davis community as part of a two-day visit sponsored by Information and Educational Technology (IET).
Spolsky is known as an entertaining communicator, a popularizer of the classic notions of software engineering. Over the years, he has worked for Microsoft and has founded Fog Creek, a company that has developed CityDesk, a content management system, and FogBUGZ, a Web-based system for managing software projects.
The keynote is open to the general public, and is free of charge. Seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. See URL below for more information.
