Email Password Security Project Underway
As part of the continuing effort to protect campus computer resources from security risks, UC Davis will secure the transmission of email passwords over the campus network in February, 2005. In order to ensure email password encryption, some campus email users will have to make a change to their email program (such as Outlook or Eudora). These users will receive an email message with instructions for making the necessary changes. If you are a campus email user and receive an email from ithelp@ucdavis.edu, please follow the instructions outlined in the email, as soon as possible, to ensure your email password is secured and to avoid an interruption in email service after February.
Faculty and staff should contact their department??'s Technology Support Coordinator (TSC).
