Got something to present?

The UC Enrollment Services Technology Conference is calling for presentations, but act quickly if you're interested. The deadline for UC Davis proposals is Aug. 15.

The conference is scheduled Oct. 17 and 18 in the Hilton Burbank Airport and Convention Center near Los Angeles.

The meeting, said J. Leon Washington, assistant vice chancellor for Enrollment and Academic Support Services in Student Affairs at UC Davis, "has been designed to emphasize vision, strategy and best practices in student services delivery by our colleagues across the UC."

Participants can "share statewide with your colleagues your insight, inspiration and successes," he wrote in an email, and "spur substantive conversation around providing excellent services to our students."

Washington would like to see UC Davis proposals as soon as possible, but no later than Aug. 15. The program planning committee will notify applicants whose proposals are accepted for presentation.

The conference is put on by a committee of enrollment services professionals from the University of California campuses plus the Office of the President, said Paul Drobny, manager of systems technology in the Division of Student Affairs at UC Davis.
