Like most of the campus, Information and Educational Technology will adjust its public business hours during the year-end holidays and winter break.
IET will close on the four UC Davis holidays--Dec. 24, Dec. 25, Dec. 31 and Jan. 1--and operate on a modified schedule during the rest of the break, which starts after fall commencement on Dec. 12 and ends when winter quarter begins on Jan. 4, 2016.
However, many IET staff will work normal hours during the break, and staff will be available throughout the entire period to address critical system, service or network issues and security incidents, if needed.
- The IT Express Service Desk will be open as usual from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays through Dec. 18. During Dec. 21-23 and Dec. 28-30, IT Express will operate from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. For answers to questions about campus tech, you can also consult the IT Knowledge Base anytime.
- Most IET computer rooms will close from Dec. 12 through Jan. 3. The exceptions are the locations in 182 Shields, 163 Shields (the Center for Accessible Technologies), and the Student Community Center. They will be open on Dec. 14 and Dec. 15--from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. in Shields, and from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the SCC.
- IET's offices will be closed to the public from Dec. 21 through the end of the year, except for Enterprise Applications and Infrastructure Services, which will close starting Dec. 23. Academic Technology Services' offices will close at noon Dec. 21.
- Orders placed Dec. 21-30 for new data network and telephone services will be processed after Jan. 4, 2016.
All IET services will resume their customary hours on Monday, Jan. 4, 2016. If you have any questions, please contact IT Express at 530-754-HELP (4357).
