IET Explores Service Outage Notification Methods

As part of an ongoing effort to improve communications with the campus community,Information and Educational Technology (IET) has recently formed a team to review and refine the process for communicating outages, both planned and unplanned, related to IT services and systems. Under particular consideration are outages related to network and telecommunication services as well as a variety of systems, such as email servers, and other applications. The team is investigating methods for providing 24x7 outage notifications to the campus.
