In June, IET staff from Communications Resources, Data Center and Client Services, and the Office of the Vice Provost participated in the campus annual emergency operations exercise. This exercise required activation of the campus Emergency Operations Center (EOC) and support for EOC computers, telecommunications and information security. This event, for the first time, required the establishment and staffing of the campus emergency call center. These events are critical to campus emergency preparedness, as the exercise strengthens the coordination between public safety, planning, finance, and logistics support units.
