New departmental directory now available online
Information and Educational Technology, working with the UC Davis Health System, has released a new online departmental directory.
The directory lists all departments on the Davis and Sacramento campuses, and complements the individual listings that have been available for years.
The most recent departmental directory had been published in 2008, as part of the last printed campus directory. Moving the departmental directory online saves printing costs, is sustainable, and allows more frequent updates to departments' records.
The directory's home page, directory.ucdavis.edu, has both individual and department search functions, plus links to much of the content that used to be printed in the book.
The online directory's main features:
- it is printer-friendly
- the listings are linked to department websites and email contacts
- Quick access is available from the [link 4] main UC Davis page. Look for the "Departments" button in the upper right, under the search window and next to the existing "Pages" and "People" buttons
- a search field lets users search by name, department, and reference terms (to suggest additional reference terms, contact campusdirectory@ucdavis.edu)
- the search results can display separate listings for the Davis and Sacramento campuses.
