As planned, Information and Educational Technology released its upgraded IT status website on Tuesday. The site displays the operating status of important UC Davis services including SmartSite, email, and authentication.
Among the improvements:
- The new page is hosted off-campus, meaning people can access it even when the UC Davis network or other critical IT services are down. (You might need to use a smartphone if your campus computer is offline.)
- Faculty, students and staff can sign up to receive notices about individual services, by email or by text.
For more information, including how to sign up for notices, please see the status page entry in IET's IT Service Catalog. The old status page will remain available, via a link from the new page, until all the functions on the old site have moved to the new site.
