On Thursday, March 9, 2006 from 12:00 to 1:30 P.M. in 162 Voorhies Hall, the Offices of Research and Graduate Studies will host speaker Jan Carmikle Dwyer, Intellectual Property Officer for Copyrights, Technology Transfer Services. Jan will talk about how a law almost as old as our country can work in today's high tech world-class research university. You won't leave as a copyright lawyer, but you will have a better sense of how copyrights work here at UC Davis. For more information, including how to register, go to http://research.ucdavis.edu/home.cfm?ID=OVC,10,20&eventKey=70. Graduate students, postdoctoral scholars, and researchers in all disciplines are invited to attend.
