Several computing services will be briefly unavailable April 14
Several UC Davis computing services will be briefly unavailable on the evening of Thursday, April 14, while the campus improves its Central Authentication Service (CAS).
Starting at 6 p.m. April 14, Information and Educational Technology will cut over to a "high availability" version of CAS. The department has sent additional information to campus technologists about work they might need to do to prepare for the change.
Many computing services will be unavailable for a few minutes during the cutover. They include, but are not limited to, MyUCDavis, SmartSite, and Sympa. People who cannot access the services during the cutover should not have to do anything except wait a short period for access to resume.
