Sign up, speak up--you too, Luddites--for SITT '07
Registration has opened for the next Summer Institute on Teaching and Technology, which will meet on campus July 16-20. This year the organizers are also inviting proposals from instructors for presentations, panels, and hands-on lab sessions.
The goal, wrote Andy Jones (SITT coordinator and writing lecturer) and Jon Wagner (director of the Teaching Resources Center and education professor) on Monday, is to offer a lineup that represents a wide variety of disciplines and instructional styles.
"If you have an innovative teaching approach, technique, or application that you would like to discuss with other faculty, please share your ideas with us," they wrote in an email to TRC clients. "We welcome thoughtful proposals from technological enthusiasts and Luddites alike."
In a few weeks, Wagner and Jones will start asking faculty to give presentations at SITT on specific topics.

The institute is tailored to campus faculty, including graduate students and postdocs who teach.
