Take a look at aggiefeed's new features
Campus groups and organizations are catching on to the benefits of aggiefeed, the UC Davis activity information stream created by Information & Educational Technology. Now they'll have more to like with the new features and functions recently added to the service:
- "Explore Feeds" feature -- replaces "Personalize" in a more user-friendly format, allowing users to browse and search for feeds, see a description and preview of each feed, and subscribe to feeds.
- Unique landing pages for each feed -- like Facebook and Twitter, each feed in aggiefeed now has its own home page which can be accessed by going to "Explore Feeds" and clicking on any feed.
- "Follow us" buttons -- these can be added to campus websites to take users to a feed's page, just like other social media tools have for their services. To get the button, go to the "Get aggiefeed" page.
Integrations with the campus calendar, Google calendar and Facebook are in the works. The first campus calendar integrations have been made, although more functionality will be added before it is released on a larger scale.
Training videos were recently added to the site to help new users learn about and start posting to aggiefeed.
