The UC Davis Electronic Communications Policy is being updated to ensure this campus policy is consistent with changes recently made to the University of California Electronic Communications Policy and to several UC Davis policies. An additional goal is to make the policy more clear and succinct for campus users.
The UC Davis ECP workgroup proposes to split the existing campus policy into two separate policy sections. One section would focus on privacy and access to electronic communication records, and the other section would focus on the allowable use of electronic communication resources. Information regarding records management and system administrators would be moved to other related UC Davis policies as appropriate.
