To honor and celebrate Women’s History Month the UC Womxn in Tech committee is hosting a virtual series with two amazing speakers on the days leading up to International Women’s Day (IWD) on March 8. The events are open to everyone across the UC system.
Speaker series discussions will focus on inspiring inclusion, following this year’s IWD theme of DigitALL: Innovation & Technology for Gender Equality. Monday, March 4, 2-3 p.m. - Brandie M. Nonnecke, Ph.D. is the Director of the CITRIS Policy Lab and an Associate Research Professor in the Goldman School of Public Policy. Dr. Nonnecke is also co-director of the Berkeley Center for Law and Technology at Berkeley Law where she leads the Project on Artificial Intelligence, Platforms, and Society, and co-directs the UC Berkeley AI Policy Hub, an interdisciplinary initiative training researchers to develop effective AI governance and policy frameworks.
