Time to register for this year’s UC Davis teaching and tech institute

Registration has opened for the Summer Institute on Teaching and Technology, a day of talks and breakout sessions for UC Davis faculty. This year’s theme is “The Digital Learning Environment: Engaging Students in the Classroom, and Beyond.”

Andy Jones, academic associate director for Information and Educational Technology and a lecturer in the University Writing Program, will serve again as host. Presenters will focus on pedagogical strategies, UC Davis Canvas, data-driven teaching, active learning, and more.

The sessions run from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 14, in 1309 The Grove/Surge III, and include lunch in the Tercero dining commons. Faculty may attend at no charge. For more information and a link to the registration form, see Jones’ post in The Wheel.
