TRC Offers MyUCDavis Training Day, January 6, 2004
Each quarter, the UC Davis Teaching Resources Center (TRC) and Information and Educational Technology (IET) offer MyUCDavis Training Day, a series of introductory level training sessions designed to assist you in learning to use the course management tools available from MyUCDavis, the campus Web portal. The next MyUCDavis Training Day has been scheduled for Tuesday, January 6, 2004. Registration is strongly recommended.
Faculty and teaching assistants are invited to attend all or any combination of the following sessions:
- 9:00-10:00 a.m.: MyUCDavis Overview. Instruction and training in several MyUCDavis administrative and communication options, including online discussion boards, class mailing lists, Web-based email, and online file sharing and storage.
- 10:15-11:15 a.m.: How to use Website Builder. Learn how easy it is to create course Web sites that allow your students to access files and links to additional Web resources.
- 11:30a.m.-12:30: How to use GradeBook. Create a gradebook using the MyUCDavis GradeBook, which retrieves course, student and grade data directly from the campus student database (Banner SIS).
- 1:30 p.m.-3:30p.m: Try-It-Yourself MyUCDavis developers and training personnel will be available to assist you as you create a course Web site or GradeBook, set up class mailing lists, or upload files to MySpace.
