With uAchieve, We Achieve: How a New Degree Audit System Will Transform the Students’ Academic Journey at UC Davis Starting in 2026
New technology will soon give UC Davis students a boost: helping them graduate on time, explore majors with confidence, and making every course count. Designed to transform the academic journey for students and their advisors, uAchieve is a new interactive degree audit system coming in 2026. With uAchieve, Aggies can:
- Instantly see how completed coursework counts towards a degree
- Track graduation progress and get early alerts if they go off track
- Explore other programs, majors, and minors with easy “what if” tools
Why uAchieve?
uAchieve will provide students and advisors with a unified view on their progress towards their degree enabling them to navigate the complexity of UC Davis curricula with more ease. Once the transition to uAchieve is complete, MyDegree and OASIS degree audit and certification functions will be retired. Note that uAchieve does not fully replace OASIS, the campus advising system, just its degree audit and certification areas.
Improved Retention, Increased On-Time Graduation
Personalized degree audit systems are a powerful tool for enhancing student success and boosting graduation rates by providing clarity, promoting proactive planning, enabling early intervention, and fostering a sense of ownership in students' academic journey. Students can navigate their degree requirements more effectively and advisors have the necessary information to offer targeted support.
Better Data for Institutional Decision-Making
The data generated by these systems can provide valuable insights into student progress, common bottlenecks in degree completion, and the effectiveness of academic programs. This information can be used by institutions to make data-driven decisions aimed at improving student success and graduation rates at a systemic level.
Key Benefits: Real Time Tracking & More Personalized Guidance
With uAchieve, students are empowered to track their progress in real-time and academic advisors have a powerful tool to provide more personal guidance.
Students and academic advisors are active partners in degree planning. Together, they can:
- Set realistic goals backed by data
- Save time and stay on track
- Make every course count
- Forge a streamlined path towards graduation
How it works
uAchieve compares a student’s academic progress towards their degree requirements in real time, allowing them to work with their advisor to make smarter decisions faster. The platform integrates coursework, registration, and the academic journey requirements all in one digital location.
Students can conduct richer conversations with their academic advisors—both on their status and potential changes to their field of study. Advisors can identify students who are at-risk of not completing their degrees sooner, allowing for earlier intervention.
Who is involved in this change?
Behind the scenes, a large team is working to bring uAchieve to UC Davis.
The Office of the University Registrar (OUR) partnered with Information and Educational Technology (IET) and other campus undergraduate colleges and Graduate Studies to make the new degree audit platform a reality. The uAchieve degree audit system was selected after a comprehensive search and review with the university community.
The transition involves many different parts of the campus community and is scheduled to take about two and a half years to complete. The uAchieve project page on the Enrollment Management website provides quarterly updates. As of March 27, 2025, 78 programs had been encoded to the uAchieve system, with many more to go.
