The campus firewall RFP bid review committee, comprised of 10 individuals from IET and the TIF, reviewed four vendor bids throughout the past two weeks. Of the four, two vendors (Accuvant, Inc. and Corsa Network Technologies, both Netscreen resellers) met the selection criteria and have been invited to make design presentations to the committee on April 21 and 23. Each vendor will present three designs based on use case scenarios developed by the RFP bid review committee. The committee will then evaluate the designs and pricing, and combine the resulting scores with the RFP bid scores to select a single finalist based on "cost per quality point." The chosen vendor will participate in a pilot test this June, to be held at the vendor's site.
