New Employee Identification Cards Available

The blue employee identification cards for UC Davis faculty and staff, in use since 1968, have become things of the past. Since July 1st, new non-student employees have been issued durable plastic photo identification cards (similar to the student identification cards), as part of New Employee Orientation.

In addition to providing employee and photo identification, the cards consolidate the services currently provided by the Sodexho Munch Money card, the library circulation card, and the blue paper identification card ? eliminating the hassle of carrying three separate cards. More services will be added in the future. The back of the cards also display emergency phone numbers.

Current faculty and staff can upgrade to the new cards by visiting 2100 Dutton Hall to have their picture taken. They may also email a professional picture of themselves along with their employee ID number and 14-digit library barcode number (if they have an existing library card) to employeeID@ucdavis.edu. To further encourage existing employees to obtain this new multi-functional ID card, Accounting and Financial Services will be taking a photo shop ?on the road? during September and October so career faculty and staff can have their ID picture taken at locations convenient to where they work.

For more information, go to the Employee ID Card Web site or send questions to employeeID@ucdavis.edu.
