Wireless printing handles 825 jobs in first three months
In its first three months, the new wireless printing service on campus has printed 825 jobs--a total that should grow as word of the handy line-dodging tactic spreads among students, faculty and staff.
Wireless printing, which began at UC Davis in late October, lets campus laptop users with a wireless connection send documents for printing to any of five locations. It eliminates the need to line up at a printer during rush hour.
The most popular location for collecting wireless print jobs is the Station (177 Memorial Union), which had logged 143 wireless print jobs this quarter as of Jan. 22.
