New video podcast highlights basic IET services
Information and Educational Technology has just released a video podcast to introduce its services to students. The student-made podcast is aimed at new arrivals, but is useful for any student who wants a summary of the tech resources that IET provides.
The video highlights the IT Express help desk, wireless network, wireless printing, computer rooms, and SmartSite. The clean and colorful video offers basic explanations as well as Web addresses to visit for further information.
"Episode One: UC Davis Computer FAQs" was filmed, narrated, and edited by Leejay Abucayan, a UC Davis student who works for IET. It runs about five minutes. More podcasts focusing on additional IET services are possible, depending on the response to the first.
The podcast is available in three viewing formats at the Student Computing Guide Web site. You can directly access the version for computers here.
