Check and update Sophos Anti-virus software before May 30
This is a reminder that if you have installed Sophos Anti-virus software version 6 on a computer with a connection to the Internet before May 30, 2008, it will automatically update itself to the most current version (7.0.6) and continue to provide up-to-date virus protection. However, if version 6 is installed on or after May 30, 2008, it will not automatically update itself to the most current version, and will not provide up-to-date virus protection.
To ensure that your computer is protected and is meeting UC Davis cyber-security requirements, please make sure that you have the most current version (7.0.6) of Sophos Anti-virus software installed. To get the latest version, faculty, staff, and students may pick up a free copy of the current Internet Tools CD at the IT Express Help Desk in Shields Library, or download the software from the campus software Web site.
If you have any questions, please contact the IET Software License Coordination unit at software@ucdavis.edu.
