Sympa is the new email list service for UC Davis. On Tuesday, you can learn more about how it works.

Sympa basic training classes are scheduled on Tuesday, June 29, and Wednesday, July 28; each will meet from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Mee room in the Memorial Union. The classes are free, but please send an RSVP to ietrsvp@ucdavis.edu.

As of June 22, all new campus email lists are created with Sympa software; on July 19, the campus will begin automatically migrating campus email lists and archives to Sympa from the old service, Listproc.

Faculty, students and staff have used Listproc to manage more than 12,000 UC Davis mailing lists, but Listproc no longer meets campus standards. A project to replace it began in 2009, leading to the changes this summer.
