Registration opens for 2011 IT Security Symposium

Registration has opened for the 2011 IT Security Symposium, which offers two days of valuable guidance and instruction on critical computing and network security topics. The sessions will be taught by UC Davis faculty, university technical specialists, and industry security instructors.

The symposium will meet June 15-16 on campus. The $95 registration fee includes access to lectures, panel discussions, hands-on labs, breakfasts, lunches, refreshments, an event T-shirt, and conference materials. Registration will close May 16, and will not be accepted at the door.

The every-other-year symposium is designed for UC technical professionals and administrative managers. The sessions, and the opportunity to network with peers, are expected to draw about 250 participants from throughout the University of California.

When signing up, please use the online registration system available through the symposium website to select the sessions you want to attend. Some popular events--particularly the hands-on labs--have limited seating. Early registration improves the odds you will get into the sessions you want.

The website has more details and information, including housing options for out-of-towners and payment methods.
