Registration opens for 2015 IT Security Symposium
One session will dissect well-known security breaches, and discuss what they mean for UC systems. Another will review the current cyber-threat landscape relevant to UC Davis and the Sacramento area.
These are just two of the approximately 75 workshops, hands-on labs, and presentations that will be part of the 2015 IT Security Symposium, scheduled for June 16-17 on the UC Davis campus. Registration is now open.
The every-other-year conference is a good place to discuss UC computer and network security issues and strategies; exchange ideas to improve information privacy and security; and network with peers. Organizers expect about 300 people, mostly technical professionals and administrative managers from throughout the University of California, to attend.
Registration costs $95, which includes meals and materials. Sessions are scheduled in the Conference Center, Gallagher Hall, and Information and Educational Technology computer rooms.
