Advanced AI capabilities, including data analysis, deep research and robust language translation, are now available to UC Davis faculty, staff and researchers. ChatGPT Edu has officially arrived at UC Davis!
As of July 10, 2025, UC Davis faculty and staff can request annual subscriptions to ChatGPT Edu, a powerful AI tool designed specifically to support teaching, learning, and research. In addition to higher education-specific features, ChatGPT Edu comes with enhanced privacy features, ensuring conversations and data are not used to train other large language models.
UC Davis Health employees should contact their local IT unit for information about ChatGPT Edu.

How to Obtain and Log in
UC Davis faculty and staff may request access to ChatGPT Edu in the ServiceNow Service Catalog using a valid Aggie Enterprise Chart String. Annual subscriptions cost $240.
Once you have a ChatGPT Edu subscription, log in at https://openai.com/chatgpt using your UC Davis email and passphrase.
UC Davis ChatGPT Edu is not available to students at this time.
