Overview
The Student Course Recording Program (SCRP) offers a service to instructors who teach in classrooms not equipped with built-in recording devices but who wish to make recordings of their class sessions available to their students.
To use this service, the instructor provides details regarding their recording preferences, such as whether to include audio/video, audio only, lectures, discussions, and/or lab sessions.
Once the request is received, the SCRP notifies students enrolled in the class that the instructor has requested recording services and identifies, hires, and trains students interested in recording classes. The student is then assigned to record each lecture, discussion, and/or lab per the instructor’s request. Students may use their own device or a device provided to them to record class sessions, most often using Zoom.
Instructors and students work together to determine the best approach to making the recordings available to all students in the class.
